GSCS 23rd Annual Meeting Resounding Success!
At yesterday’s GSCS 23rd Annual Meeting, more than 130 GSCS members and friends - including school board members, parents, school administrators, and colleagues - hailing from a spread of Bergen to Camden, Union to Middlesex, Essex to Burlington,and Monmouth to Mercer Counties and more, appreciated the breadth of the GSCS program, including the presentation and interaction with NJ Department of Education presenter Bari Erlichson, Chief Performance Officer/Assistant Commissioner; legislator panelists Assembly Budget Chair Gary Schaer (D-Passaic), Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande (R-Monmouth, and Assemblyman Troy Singleton (D-Burlington), as they addressed education issues in the context of State Budget FY'15; and the open,thoughtful and insightful media 'take' conversation between Michael Aron, Chief Political Correspondent NJTV, and John Mooney, Education Writer and Founder of NJ Spotlight.

GSCS greatly appreciates the dynamic leadership of its out-going president, Jim Crisfield/Millburn and welcomes its incoming president, Chuck Sampson/Freehold Regional High School; congratulations to the West Windsor-Plainsboro schools on being seated on the GSCS Board of Trustees. Of note: GSCS was pleased to be joined by two of its past presidents, Larry Feinsod, currently Executive Director of the NJ School Boards Association and David Abbott,Superintendent of Monmouth-Ocean Education Services Commission.
